18 years ago today I opened the doors to The Counties of Ireland...a 24 year old girl jumping both feet in and praying that others would love the exact things I adored about Ireland!  I remember that day like it was yesterday...it was a Thursday and it was a beautiful, sunny & warm day.  The store was filled with family, friends and local community members for my ribbon cutting...and I was a nervous wreck!  My family and friends are what got me through that day and have been the most amazing support for the last 18 years. Caulfield Joinery was established in 1978 by John Caulfield, the original joiner. It was a highly successful business producing quality hardwood kitchens, windows, doors and furniture. Pearse Caulfield, the joiner/philosopher, joined the family business from a young age. On completion of an apprenticeship in joinery he then decided to return to university while still working as a joiner. He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, in 2012, gaining a BA in philosophy. Louise Caulfield, the scientist/baker, studied a BA in natural science, specializing in geology, and graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 2007. She lived in Western Australia for a number...
