The Pirate Queen - Grace O'Malley

The beautiful sterling silver and gold plated necklace is manufactured by JMH in Dublin. The legend of the Pirate Queen Grace O'Malley is an adventurous one.

Her father was the leader of the O'Malley Clan, who traded on the seas off the West Coast of Ireland. She begged to be allowed to sail with him, but to put her off he told her that her long hair would get caught in the ship sails. he was surprised then to see her arrive at his ship one day, her long hair cut off, ready to go to sea.

This brought her the nickname "Granuaile", the bald Grainne, which she was known by for the rest of her days.

This stunning pendant of Grace is handcrafted in Dublin and hallmarked in the Assay Office in Dublin Castle. This pieces will arrive on an 18 inch chain, gift boxed with a story card of the Legend of the Pirate Queen.
