Do you have a house-warming, graduation party or wedding coming up?  Give the gift of “Good Luck”!

The horseshoe has long been a sign of good luck. In Celtic cultures, blacksmith were respected for their craft and considered lucky people. If you were married by a blacksmith, you were sure to have a happy marriage.

A little tidbit: The most famous blacksmith in Irish mythology is Goibniu (Gov-new). He is often connected to Credne the Silversmith and luchtaine the carpenter.

Together the three formed the trian known as “Tri De Dana” or the “Three Gods of Art”

Also, the horseshoe was displayed on coins as far back as 300 BC. The Irish believed it kept the Devil away.
