Miraculous Medal Pendant (2 Sizes)
This beautiful sterling silver pendant is manufactured by JMH Jewelry in Dublin. The miraculous medal is an image of the apparition of Our Lady that appeared in 1830 to the young nun Catherine, later St Catherine Labore, in France. Our Lady requested that Catherine would have a medal struck in the image of the apparition.
Our Lady stands upon a globe with a crushed snake under her feet, representing her role as Queen of Heaven and Earth. The snake was defeated by Our Lady's obedience to God. The rays coming from her hands symbolizing the graces Our Lady lovingly bestows on those who ask her. The image is surrounded by the words “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee"
On the reverse is a cross and the letter M. The cross represents Christ's sacrifice for our salvation and the bar under the cross symbolizes the Earth. The 2 hearts are the most sacred heart of Jesus and the immaculate heart of Mary. The entire image is surround by 12 stars to represent both the 12 apostles and the verse from the Book of Revelation
