These lovely silver Warrior earrings are inspired by an ancient Irish treasure, the Ardagh Chalice. The Ardagh Chalice was crafted in the 9th century AD. This treasure was then rediscovered in 1868 by two men digging in a ring fort in Ardagh, Co. Limerick and is a beautiful example of Celtic Irish metalwork. If you ever get the chance to visit Ireland, this chalice is now housed in the National Musuem in Dublin. These earrings are made of a sterling silver lozenge shaped drop (on a lever back earring) which is adorned with a rare Irish gold shield in the center.
