Holly Basket Bell Ornament

The creation of a Belleek basket tells a story about the amazing art of Belleek basket making. The craft of Basket and flower making was introduced to Belleek by William Henshall who came to work for Belleek in the1860s. Over the next forty years he developed the craft and trained the local craftsmen in the necessary skills. These in turn passed the craft down though the following generation to the present day.

The Belleek Holly Basket Bell ornament is made in the fine tradition of Belleek basket making. Intricately decorated with a sprig of Christmas holly this beautiful bell is a symbol of truth and new beginnings. Not dated.

This piece will come beautifully presented in an elegant green gift box from the Belleek and is approximately 2 3/4".
