About Us
The Counties of Ireland opened its doors in Troy in June 8, 2000 with the idea to bring a little bit of Ireland to upstate New York. In June, 2005, we opened our NEW store located a 77 Third Street, still in historic downtown Troy, making this our permanent home. Formerly the Cooper's Shoe Store in Troy ... our newly remodeled store is a spectacular sight with the original tin ceilings and hard rock maple floors.
Our store is new, but our mission is the same: To bring something a little different to our customers ... something a little unique. We not only wanted to cater to our Irish customer but to any nationality! That is why we consider ourselves "Not your typical Irish shop!"
Located in historic downtown Troy, NY, The Counties of Ireland carries an exclusive line of Irish clothing, accessories, and giftware. All of our products are hand picked, manufactured and imported directly from Ireland because authenticity is very important to us. We ship all over the world!
